victor grants interviews to the press regarding his children’s lawsuit.

"my empire has not shattered; newman enterprises is not for sale; and my company is as strong as ever."

billy abbott heard about the press interviews and insisted on getting one as well.  victor says, “i love my children.  i don’t want this to be happening.”  but billy isn’t “buying what [victor is] selling.”

"i know the man with the heart-warming platitudes really just has an ice cold heart. and your act -- it's not that good."

meanwhile meggie is back in genoa city.  as katherine explains, some of the evidence in alaska got dismissed on a technicality so she was extradited back to wisconsin.  murphy and kay decide to confront meggie.

"trying to read here!"

meggie continues, “look who’s standing upright.  oops!  still can’t talk?  it’s alright, you can just tap out a message on the bars.”  murphy is cool and collected: “i’m just enjoying the view.”  but meggie’s been spending her free time (in prison) working on her wit.

"i'm 10 times easier on the eyes than that old bag you're married to."

murphy isn’t even phased: “it’s been a long time coming — you rotting behind bars.”  meggie just keeps them coming: “it’s only temporary.  i’ll be outta here before you can swallow another nitro pill.”  but kay is lurking in the shadows.

"this old bag is gonna make sure you spend the rest of your life in jail."
